Great quote from iSteve

Usually comments to iSteve are the absolute worst I find at the right end of the blog alley.  One, however, is completely unforgettable.  From a poster named Harry Baldwin:
Every year or so, the United States needs to pick up some small crappy little neocon and throw him against the wall, just to show them we're tired of them screwing this country up.
There is a policy I can get behind.

Why do you dislike comments on iSteve so much?

Because they're not as good as comments at OneSTDV, of course.

I say that only partly in flattery. The average quality of comments at Mangan's, Foseti's, Moldbug's, and your blogs are a hundred times better than what I usually read at iSteve. Sailer himself is a genius and a half, and I would really like to take him out for a coffee some time, but his commenters are always a disappointment. A lot of ad hominem, at lot of blackslapping compliments that lack substance, a lot of trolling ... it's usually just a letdown. Whenever I comment there people skim what I've written and fire back something that shows they didn't know what I meant.

I suppose it is because Sailer is so popular he attracts the lowbrown and middlebrow, where you have to be a somewhat serious rightosphere fan to discover anyone else. Sailer broke the Freakonomics abortion SNAFU; noöne else out here has done anything comparable.

I agree with Od'E - the comments at Steve Sailer's are dreadful, and put off a lot of people I am sure (they did for me, for quite a while) - his comment section does him a disservice.

The simplest and most effective way to clean it up would be to reject ALL 'anonymous' comments, as these are 2STDV worse than the rest.
